RELIABILITY PREDICTION
How much is an assembly or component expected to fail in one million hours operating period ? This is the failure rate number. For example a Power Module has failure rate of 9.60. Then the MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) of that Power Module is 104.166 hours. Just to know, one year is 8760 hours.
Do not calculate MTBF by your self, the software cost is thousand dollars. In house facility of ELSA now open to public. "Reliability Prediction for Electronic Parts" facility is waiting your order now. The calculation is based on MIL-HDBK-217.
Once the data entry completed, the calculation can be done for different temperature and stress.
